Born To Be King

Isaiah prophesied about 2,700 years ago, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." We often see Jesus as a baby in a manger, but we also need to see Jesus born to be the ruler, the king.

When Pilate asked Jesus if he was a king, Jesus said, "You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world."

When David prophesied concerning bringing the Ark of the Covenant (a type of Christ) into the temple, he said, "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." Jesus is the King of glory and we are to be the temple. We are to open the doors to our lives to Jesus to come in as King.

Many people have unnecessary mental, emotional, social, and spiritual struggles just because they never allow Jesus to come into their lives as King. Have you opened your life up and invited Jesus to come in as your King?
