Knock, Knock

This is Basil Frasure with Whole Person Counseling of San Angelo.

Normally, the enemy doesn't come to us and say, "I am the devil and I am going to make you feel depressed."  If he did, you would probably stop and say, "Oh, yeh, In the name of Jesus, I bind you and command that you leave."

The enemy is a bit more deceptive than that. He comes to us disguised in our own thoughts.  Here is the way it works:

 Knock, Knock!!

 "Who is there?"
 "I am, you."
 "You are?"
 "I am."
 "Why are you here?"
"I am having a bad day."
"Yes, I guess maybe I am."
 "Everything is going wrong."
 "Yes, it sure is."
 "I don't see a way out."
 "I sure don't."
 "I feel depressed."
 "Depressed?"
 "Yes, I am depressed."
"Oh, yes, I am very depressed"

Did you get lost in the conversation?  That can be expected!  You may think that you are having a monologue with yourself, when you are actually having a dialogue with the enemy, and in the midst of it, come into agreement with the enemy.  This is the reason the Word of God says that we are to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

If you are having a problem distinguishing your thoughts from those that the enemy may bring to you and want some help, please call me at (325) 651-9516.
