Blessings Now

I have heard ministers say that God is not concerned about temporal blesings for Believers. I have heard some say that we shouldn't advertize the Gospel for the blessings that one might receive in this life.  I have even heard a minister say that Jesus never made a promise of any blessings in this life.  Bull! Listener, don't believe that lie!

Jesus said that the theif is come to steal kill and destroy, but that he, Jesus, had come that we might have life and that we might have life beyond measure.  Jesus said that for those who have forsaken all for the kingdom, that they would receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands ... as well as eternal life.  Jesus said that one who studies diligently the Word can in effect go to both the Old Testament and the New Testament and receive blessing from both.

God is not a stingy God, but one of superabundance.  God loves to give good gifts to His children, gifts of physical and mental and emotional healing, gifts of prosperity and success.  The Word decares that God desires to bring health and prosperity to us as our souls prosper.  Jesus wants to fill our lives with His presence and with joy.  God is not a cruel slave master, but our loving Heavenly Father that desires to richly bless.

Listen to the words of David, "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:" (Psalm 103:2).
