Applying The Song Of Solomon
Are you having marriage problems? Has communication in your marriage broken down?  Is there a "cold war" going on?  Do you just want to give up and run away?

Very briefly, I would like to give you a Biblical principle that will change your marriage.  It is the principle of sowing and reaping.  What you sow in your marriage, you will reap in abundance.  If you sow anger, you will reap more anger.  If you sow silence, you will reap a harvest of silence.  However, if you sow love, you will reap an abundance of  love.

Here is your assignment.  Read through the Song of Solomon several times.  This book is a love story, between a man and a woman which illustrates God's relationship with Israel and Christ's relationship with the Church.  The language is very personal and intimate.

If you are a husband, look to see how the male figure comments on the female's body parts: her eyes, hair, thighs, and etc.  If you are a wife, see how the female figure makes admirable comments about the male.  Now, your specific assignment is to begin to prayerfully list true complimentary statements that you can make to your spouse.  Don't unload on your spouse, but insert a compliment every day or so.  You will be tested, but in time you will reap if you don't give up.
