God's Sovereignty and Man's Will
This is Basil Frasure with Whole Person Counseling of San Angelo.

Whenever, someone takes a truth from the Word to the exclusion of other truths, then the one truth is out of balance and becomes a lie.  This is the case when someone advocates the sovereignty of God to the exclusion of the free will of man.  You may have heard someone say that God will save everyone because Jesus died for everyone.  This is a lie.

Romans 10:9 states,  "That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart tht God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved."  "IF" clauses are ALWAYS conditional.  But ... didn't Jesus die for all men?  Yes!  But ... isn't it God's will that all be saved?  Yes!  But won't every knee bow to Jesus as Lord?  Yes!   HOWEVER, if we reject eternal life in this life, then we must face eternal punishment in the next!

In Matthew 7:14 Jesus says,  "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."  Furthermore, John wrote, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:15).  There will be names not found written in the book of life.  Will yours?
