Psalm 18:1-3 Are you in the middle of a spiritual battle? Does your enemy seem to be overwhelming in both size and strength? Maybe you need to change your focus from your enemy to your God. This was David's means of overcoming the giant, Goliath, and the other enemies in his life. We see an example of this is Psalm 18:1-3 where David makes a confession of faith. "I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." David claims NINE attributes of the LORD. 1. My strength = the source of his strength.
David declares that he will love the LORD, trust Him, and call upon Him and therefore be saved from his enemies.
